This Career Position requires outbound selling skills.
Business to business phone sales. Selling small to middle sized music store owners and buyers, soliciting sales of their fast turnover Name Brand, Nationally recognized music accessories (strings, picks, reeds, sticks, stands, straps, etc.) for resale nationwide, exclusively over the telephone. NO TRAVEL needed- Inside sales only!

Who are you guys?
These sales positions are for the Sales Distribution Division of a 118 year Musical Instrument Manufacturer. We have been adding new customers and products resulting in increases in sales every quarter.
What do you do?
We supply the Retail Music Businesses with musical instrument accessories and instruments that they sell to the public and buy everyday.
We distribute a full line of 8,000 name brand accessories like Hohner and Lee Oscar Harmonicas, 21 different brands of guitar strings, hundreds shapes, sizes and materials of guitar picks, dozens of name brand electronic guitar tuners, reeds, drumsticks, metronomes, kazoos, stands, etc. plus Kay and Santa Rosa guitars, banjos and mandolins, ukuleles, amplifiers and accessories and other music products that you will find in all music stores in the USA.
All sales orders are made by our inside sales staff who contact by phone and sell weekly to retail music store accounts across the nation.
Musicians often "THINK" they will be perfect for this job,
but without previous sales experience they are not very successful. THIS IS A SALES JOB not a 'gig'.
1) You must really Love Selling
(Sell, Sales and Selling was used 21 times in this ad PLAYING GUITAR only once)
2) Have at least 2 years sales experience
(We prefer business-to-business sales but working in a retail music store is also good)
3) Give "good voice", quick witted and good math skills plus not be afraid to pickup the telephone to sell.
4) Knowledge of retail music products is important
(Playing guitar is NOT IMPORTANT or required). This is a sales reps job no performances needed or required.
5) You must like a competitive environment (sales commissions are not a "team player" effort)
6) You must want to make a lot of money and come to work everyday (we check attendance history).
7) You must be tenacious, personable and love a challenge.
8) You must present a professional image for business-to-business selling
(No "HEY DUDE" types)
9) Be honest, brave, loyal, etc. (otherwise all the qualities of a good Boy Scout)
10) Enjoy having fun..... But knowing what counts is making sales and getting the job done everyday.
Pay and Benefits:
Base pay is 27K-30K based on performance and experience. Commission earning potential to 35-48K after the first year and 60K plus after the second year. Benefits: 5% of your base wages are included for benefits (medical, life insurance, retirement programs). We also provide paid vacation, holidays, education reimbursement, employee purchase programs, etc.
You must live within 20 miles of the John Wayne (Orange County Airport) in Irvine, CA.
We do not pay relocating cost and only will interview candidates that currently reside in the immediate area.
This is a long term career opportunity for qualified candidates. This position takes most candidates a minimum of 2 years on the job training and on the job experience.
